To play Eurojackpot, you have to buy a ticket. On this ticket there is a playing field consisting of two areas: a block with 50 numbers for the main numbers and a block with 12 numbers for the Euro numbers. You can either play with a normal ticket or with a system ticket.
With a normal ticket, the player selects their numbers manually on two betting fields or has them generated automatically by a random number generator (“Quick Tip”). A system ticket allows you to bet up to 11 numbers and 12 Euro numbers. Each combination of the selected numbers forms a separate bet. This increases the chances of winning – but also the stake. The duration of the ticket can also be set for both tickets. You can play the Eurojackpot for up to five weeks with one ticket. It is also possible to select the desired draw day.

The odds of winning in the individual classes depend on the stake and the number of winners in the respective classes. Winnings in the first prize category can amount to a maximum of 120 million euros. If this amount is reached, every additional euro flows into the second prize class.

How many 120 million Eurojackpot winners have there been?
In total, the Eurojackpot with a maximum prize of €120 million has already been won four times – the first time on July 22, 2022 by a person from Denmark. Only a short time later, on November 8, 2022, the Eurojackpot went to a winner from Germany, as well as on June 23, 2023. The last time the 120 million jackpot was won was on January 16, 2024 by a person from Norway.
Eurojackpot: What is a syndicate?
Eurojackpot can not only be played individually, but also in a group of several people. In this so-called syndicate (also known as a lottery pool), the chances of winning are higher: each member of the syndicate contributes to the purchase of several lottery tickets and in the event of a win, this is divided among all participants.
What is the probability of winning the Eurojackpot?
The actual odds of winning the Eurojackpot vary depending on the number of players participating and the picks played. In general, the probability of winning the Eurojackpot is around 1 in 95 million. In the Lotto (6 out of 49), the chance of winning is much lower at 1 in 139 million.
